Level Up Trivia is a party trivia game built for gamers. One person hosts the game on their PC, and everyone else joins from any web browser — phones, tablets, laptops, whatever they have. No apps to download, no accounts to create.

The game features hundreds of questions about video games, spanning retro classics, modern AAA titles, indie gems, esports, gaming history, and more. It's designed for game nights, watch parties, Discord hangouts, or livestream entertainment.

Joining is designed to be as frictionless as possible. No downloads, no accounts, no setup.

1. Visit play.appsolutebest.com/gamertrivia on any browser
2. Enter the 4-letter room code from the host
3. Choose a nickname (use a fun nickname, not your real name)
4. Tap "Join Game" — the game engine loads and you're connected

4. Scoring & Streaks

Level Up Trivia's scoring system rewards both accuracy and speed, with a streak mechanic that amplifies your score the more consecutive correct answers you get.

Base Scoring

Each correct answer earns base points. Faster answers earn more points — the quicker you answer correctly, the higher your score for that question. Wrong answers earn zero points and break your streak.

Streak Multipliers

Consecutive correct answers build a streak that multiplies your score:

2 in a row	1.5x	Score starts climbing
3 in a row	2x	Double points
4+ in a row	3x	Maximum multiplier — keep it going!

5. Trivia Categories

Level Up Trivia covers the full spectrum of gaming knowledge. Here are the main category groups:

Hosts can select specific categories or mix multiple categories for a varied game. Difficulty levels adjust the complexity of questions — Easy focuses on well-known games, while Hard digs into deep gaming knowledge.

6. Tournament Mode

For competitive gatherings, Level Up Trivia supports bracket-style tournament play. This is great for larger groups, gaming events, or stream-organized competitions.

How Tournaments Work

1. The host sets up a tournament bracket with the desired number of players
2. Players are paired into rounds (or grouped for larger heats)
3. Each round is a standard trivia game — the top scorer(s) advance
4. Elimination continues until a champion is crowned

Tournament Tips

• Use mixed categories to test broad knowledge
• Set harder difficulty for later rounds to increase the challenge
• For large groups, run preliminary heats of 6-8 players, then advance the top 2-3 from each heat
• Keep rounds to 10-15 questions to maintain energy and pace

• Viewers join from their phones or second screens

Best Practices for Streamers

• Start with a brief explanation for new viewers — the join process is simple
• Display the room code prominently (pin it in chat or use a text overlay)
• Keep rounds manageable — 15-20 questions works well for stream pacing
• Mix easy and hard categories to keep it engaging for all skill levels
• Use the direct join link (?room=XXXX) in your stream description or chat commands

9. Troubleshooting

I can't join a room

• Double-check the room code — it's 4 letters, case-insensitive
• Make sure the host has created the room and it's still active
• Check your internet connection
• Try refreshing the page and entering the code again

The game is slow or laggy

• Close other browser tabs to free up memory
• Make sure you have a stable internet connection
• On mobile, close background apps

The host app won't start

• Ensure you're running Windows 10 or later
• Check that no firewall is blocking the application
• Try running the application as administrator

Players are disconnecting

• This usually indicates network issues on the player's end
• Players on unstable mobile data may experience drops
• Wi-Fi is recommended over cellular for the best experience
